Here are some random snapshots of a calligraphy* workshop I attended yesterday, Sunday, at the Hey Kessy Studio in Katipunan, Quezon City. π I was too engrossed during the drills that I forgot to take more photos! I still have that high from learning new things about something I love (what a nerd! hihihi.) and meeting people who share the same passion. I was thrilled to finally meet Anina Rubio whose work I follow on Instagram. π
*Calligraphy is the art of beautiful writing. π
I wish to be able to write my name like this one day. π #practice
washi tape haven! π
I felt a certain kind of excitement whenever I’m in a venue imbibing this vintage and crafty feel.
Other lovely details inside the Hey Kessy workshop studio. πThe early birds get the…empty nest shots! π Can’t hide the excitement. I was there at the venue almost an hour before the workshop schedule. πShout out to my fellow workshopper Belle who carefully planned which inks to place in her Inky Dips. πMy set. πThe workshop kit — pencil, straight holder, three nibs, washi tape, inky dips, a bottle of black ink, and worksheets! π
As they say, learning is an investment. π So here’s to more workshops this 2015! π Cheers!
